Tuesday's Track - O Holy Night by Kenny Rogers

Tuesday’s Track is Kenny Rogers singing one of my favourite carol’s “O Holy Night”

I love the melody and the words of this carol. It takes me back to the days when I was first married when my wife and I would listen to the Kenny Rogers Christmas Album.

The lines “Chains shall he break, for the slave is our brother, And in His name all oppression shall cease.” Have always been special to me.

Christ came to offer deliverance, to end the separation between God and man.

We all have chains around our hearts. Life has a way of wearing us down and the world infiltrates our mind with despair and hopelessness.

But Christ is the bread of life, the light of the world. He offers freedom for the captive, release for the prisoner and all the unmerited favour of God.

True freedom, true release is in a real interwoven union with Him and Christ living and working through us.

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the Soul felt its worth

A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn'
Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine, oh-oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine, oh night, oh night divine

Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall he break, for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease

Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
With all of them must praise His holy name
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we
His power and glory, ever more proclaim
His power and glory, ever more-ore-ore proclaim...

Thank you for visiting my blog. Please do not feel you have to comment. I enjoyed writing, listening to God and sharing his toughts. I hope you enjoyed reading, and may God who is able to make all grace, every favour and earthly blessing come to you in abundance, do far above all you can ask or think, according to the power that works within you. Be blessed.
