Dead Man

Temptation can’t trouble a dead man
Not even shadows hidden in dark corners
That twist around my wrist
And try to distract my thoughts
To strangle me.
However pulled I am
I cannot raise the old Adam
Deep memories
Lie in wait to ambush
When recollections suddenly appear
Accusing lies of sins forgiven
With nail pierced outstretched hands
Of a sacrifice, perfect and pure, in my place
In my crucified death.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Please do not feel you have to comment. I enjoyed writing, listening to God and sharing his toughts. I hope you enjoyed reading, and may God who is able to make all grace, every favour and earthly blessing come to you in abundance, do far above all you can ask or think, according to the power that works within you. Be blessed.
