We all need to discover love.
To be free in all Christ has provided for us, we need to experience his love.
Jesus constantly talked about love, in fact he summed up everything in one sentence, “Love God with all your heart and love your neighbour as yourself.” But within this simple statement lies the trap of legalism, “What do I have to do, to make God love me more?”
The answer of course is nothing, for the infinite truth of love is that Jesus did not die to make God love sinners, for God always did love them.
God is love, God is compassion, and he is an everlasting river of power devoted to us with a passion to awaken us to all Christ abundantly gave each of us at the cross.
God' s love is higher, deeper, fuller, holier, more powerful than we could ever hope or imagine and this love dwells in our hearts.
He took our broken and alienated existence and lifted us up to his exalted position. Grace overflowed into the dust and brought us into a place of blessing and plenty.
God desires us, we have captivated his heart. He has set his seal of approval on our lives; he has positioned us at his right hand and adopted us into his family.
To discover love is to awaken our hearts to all God has placed inside us. To open the treasure vaults of love within our hearts and revel in its riches.
He is our source of love and the vast, infinite well of love inside every believer is an overflowing stream of his acceptance and pleasure.
