He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a
flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life –
Genesis 3:24.
Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his
sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut of his head with
it. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled. – 1 Samuel
17:51.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the
Spirit, which is the word of God – Ephesians 6:17
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than
any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and to
joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the. thoughts and intents of the
heart. – Hebrews 4:12
