Yes, but do you actually know Him? Be assured that it is in regards to this that I have been sent to help you with, but you keep ignoring my offers. Why?
Hi Jerry, that is a very good question. Yesterday was my 29th Wedding Anniversary. My wife and i have adopted 3 children, we have been through the heartbreak of childlessness and miscarriages, walked through diagnosed illness and shared everything. After 29 years of intimacy do i still really know her? I hope i know her better than anyone else, but still she says things that surprise me, especially when it comes to her choice of Jewelry. Likewise do i actually know Christ? My spirit that connects with his holy spirit, the electricity in my heart, the power that surges through me, the joy in my soul, the whisper that reminds me that i am precious, loved, held, healed, restored, forgiven. My life reflected in the spiritual mirror of his word. He is more real to me as i become aware of who i am in my spirit man and his word.
Do you not believe that you know enough about your wife to be able to go to asleep next to her without wondering if you will wake up with your throat cut? Be assured that it should be the same with our Heavenly Father--albeit in the form of His only begotten Son or His Holy Spirit. For to think that one must know EVERYTHING about Him before they can say that they actually know Him is to miss the point entirely.
Furthermore, to think that it is impossible to actually know Him requires blind faith, which is of no satisfaction unto Him whatsoever. For He wants us to want to get know Him in a very close and personal way.
Alas, the devil and his demons have been so very successful at leading far too many to believe that our Heavenly Father is not so unlike your Queen Elizabeth II, who has rigidly maintained a certain distance between her and her subjects, when what our Heavenly Father wants is for us to want to crawl up on his lap and tell Him all about it--regardless of whatever "it" may be. I have been blessed with such a sensation, and I would love for you to experience it for yourself. http://fishhawkdroppings.blogspot.com/2009/10/bittersweet-refinements-chapter-xiv.html
Speaking of “it,” oh how I wish you would include references to your personal suffering in your pieces. For it is something truly special when someone can want to believe in His goodness and mercy when it seems much more likely that He actually despises them. After all, why would He allow such bad things to keep happening if He really did love them as much as He supposedly does?
Of course, without having a fairly good understanding of what He is actually wanting to accomplish in this world, still wanting to believe in His goodness and mercy would be pure foolishness. For the absolute truth of the matter would have to be either that there is nothing He can do about the suffering in this world or He does not care to.
Be assured that my desire for you to address such things was given to me by our Heavenly Father. For this world has heard enough empty praising of His name.
Thank you for visiting my blog. Please do not feel you have to comment. I enjoyed writing, listening to God and sharing his toughts. I hope you enjoyed reading, and may God who is able to make all grace, every favour and earthly blessing come to you in abundance, do far above all you can ask or think, according to the power that works within you. Be blessed.
