Happy New Year to everyone who drops in and takes a look.
May you experience and revel in the wonderful waterfall of
the goodness and grace of God.
Let the same power that raised Christ from the dead,
infiltrate, permeate, immerse and flood out of our lives into a broken and
hurting world.
Wherever we go, who ever we meet, whatever mundane chores we
are placed with, the glory and grace of Christ is in us to touch all those
around us.
Christ lives and works through every believer, in the smile
we share, in the hope we bring, in making the kids breakfast, in cleaning the
house, in playing golf, in resetting the Church chairs, in making our
work-mates coffee, in cleaning away the dirty mugs, in sorting out the broken
photocopier, in all we do Christ works through us.
My prayer for you in
2013 is from Numbers 6:24-26:
‘May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace.’
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace.’
And may Christ the conqueror of death reign and overwhelm our
hearts: -
My Captain by Dorothea Day
Out of the light that dazzles me,
Bright as the sun from pole to pole,
I thank the God I know to be
For Christ the conqueror of my soul.
Since His the sway of circumstance,
I would not wince nor cry aloud.
Under that rule which men call chance
My head with joy is humbly bowed.
Beyond this place of sin and tears
That life with Him! And His the aid,
Despite the menace of the years,
Keeps, and shall keep me, unafraid.
Bright as the sun from pole to pole,
I thank the God I know to be
For Christ the conqueror of my soul.
Since His the sway of circumstance,
I would not wince nor cry aloud.
Under that rule which men call chance
My head with joy is humbly bowed.
Beyond this place of sin and tears
That life with Him! And His the aid,
Despite the menace of the years,
Keeps, and shall keep me, unafraid.
I have no fear, though strait the gate,
He cleared from punishment the scroll.
Christ is the Master of my fate,
Christ is the Captain of my soul.
He cleared from punishment the scroll.
Christ is the Master of my fate,
Christ is the Captain of my soul.
Happy New Year, Mametz.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kindness and for the font of Blessings that flow through you. You have touched my life reminding me that God has not forgotten me. He sent you to me. A poet, no less!
I love the scripture from Numbers and shall jot it down in my 2013 planner.
You are Joy.
