"In Matthew 2, when the wise men came to King Herod to find out where Jesus was, Herod summoned the religious leaders who told him where the Messiah was to be born. However, when Jesus began His ministry, the religious leaders did not recognize Him as the Messiah, neither did they seek Him at the time of His birth. Our understanding and revelation of Scripture is always supposed to lead us deeper into relationship with and surrender to our Lord Jesus Christ. The Christmas story is one we should never become familiar with, or limit to a certain time of year. When Jesus came and took on flesh, He redefined our purpose and restored us to Himself. Let your heart become increasingly aware of what He has done for you - let it be personal. As you ponder these things in your heart, may you be drawn to worship Him in complete surrender and awe."
