Prophetic Word 2020 – Norway and London

I felt GOD say "2020 Will be a special year for nations from the North, my North wind will blow my Spirit through northern nations”

NORWAY

As I considered this word, the nation of Norway became the focus of the Holy Spirit’s prompting followed less prominently by Denmark. I feel that in 2020 there will start to erupt from Norway a colourful explosion of God’s glory and grace. A colourful light will emanate from Norway and a fire will start to erupt through the northern nations. God has a specific purpose for Norway, and his purpose will work within the hearts of the people of that Nation. Out of Norway will come shards of glory light to illuminate the world.

LONDON

I felt that God was saying the London would be covered in the peace of God. That the Holy Spirit would release a spirit of peace that would flood out from London and just as in the past London held peace conferences that affect the nations, so now in the spirit out of London would arise a peace from God that would heal and restore nations. This might be totally unexpected and challenge many traditional religious concepts and theologies, but God was pushing back the boundaries of all we hold, and he was going to do this by restoring peace and taking away conflict.

I believe that in 2020 God has a specific purpose in his plans for Norway and London.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is my prayer that this word helps you, strengthens you and causes you to have greater hope for the future! I believe for some believers there will be greater challenges and situations that arise for believers, but our future is bright and full of Light! What is this light? It is the Light of His glory and truth as manifested in Christ Jesus the Son. He indeed is the Way, the Truth and the Life and He gives Light to the whole world. It is in His Light that we see Light (Psalm 36:9). May the Lord open the eyes of our understanding and flood our hearts with revelatory light and truth that we may know the hope of His calling and the glory of His inheritance in the saints. (Eph 1:18)

The bible makes it clear that we “prophesy in part and we know in part” (1 Cor 13:9). It is my hope that I can share a glimpse of what the Lord is doing in 2020. I encourage you to seek the Lord for yourself and see what He might say to you for 2020.

Prophetic Word - 2020 The Song of God's Victory

I HEARD THE LORD SAY "2020 WILL BE A YEAR THAT THE SONG OF MY VICTORY WILL BE SUNG ABOVE THE NOISE AND TERROR OF THE WORLD  AND THE FIRE OF MY GLORY WILL START TO  SPREAD"

2020 will be a year that the song of Christ’s victory will be sung above the noise and terror of the world. Over the past few days God speaking to me about the song of victory. He has been highlighting the phrase ‘Hear the birds sing!” and  I have been constantly drawn to an awareness that God is singing a song of victory over his people and his church and this song of victory is being sung for those that are listening.

The song of Victory is a song of the finished work of the Cross. It is a song of restoration, healing, wholeness, freedom and favour. It is a song surpassing all other songs, a song that echo’s on the wind and a song that sings out that all the promises of God that are yours in Christ Jesus. The song is a song of enthralment, it says, “Come to me, be delighted with me, be inspired by my love for you, be driven by my love for you, be captivated by me, and be enthralled with me.

The world has stolen promises from you, and has tried to destroy the dreams God has for you. The world has put up a barrage of cracking distractions and booming unbelief.  For some believers it has been a time of taking cover and a time of defending. The shelling of the world has just been non-stop, but above the noise and terror of the world, God is singing a song of Victory.

The song of Gods victory is crystal clear, it is a song of spring hanging in the air, a song that hangs in the atmosphere on a windless night and a song that baths in the sunlight of every day. It ripples the waters with waves in crystal clear melody of heaven. It is a song that destroys fear, pain and terror. For the enemy would come to mutilate the promises of God and attempt to cause as many casualties as he can, his purpose is to make you hear the shrieking of fear and the booming of pain and not the birdsong of his victory.

The bird song of His victory is the song your hearts needs to delight in so you can walk in joy, strength, and peace in 2020. It is a song that you need to hear above all the noise, it is a song you can tune your heart into and it is a song that you can sing as the God who created the heavens lives and works in you. 2020 is the year of the Song of His Victory, listen and sing the song of His Victory.

THE FIRE OF HIS GLORY

I also started to feel that there will be flames bursting from house to house as the fire of God’s glory got set free. These flames would set people free in their homes and where they call home. It would heal households, where families had been torn apart, healing would take place. Especially with broken hearted families. The flames of Gods glory would bring a transformation within families. As the enemy has tried to destroy families and bring division. I felt that God’s glory would bring restoration and healing specifically within family units. I felt that as this fire spread that healing would take place in communities and neighbourhoods would be restored. This fire spreading would transcend political beliefs and classes. It would unite brother with brother and daughter to mother.
.
THE NEW DAY TO WALK OVER THE DUST OF THE PAST

In November I had a dream – “I  saw  a cloud of thick dust rose up and covered my view of the sky. Daylight disappeared and I started to choke on the dust. I thought the dust would engulf me. I could not breathe. I could not see. I was engulfed in dust. As I stood there the dust started to fall to the ground.  After a few minutes the dust started to settle, and after a few more minutes the dust lay and covered the ground. The air was now fresh again and I could breathe. God said, “Its okay, the dust has settled, you can walk on the dust it is under your feet. The dust cannot harm you anymore.” So, I walked forward and walk over the dust.”

I felt God say – “For some believers the past year 2019 has been a difficult and traumatic year. It has often seemed that troubles and tribulations have been constant. That one drama is followed by another drama. And just like a cloud of dust these dramas have engulfed you, and sometimes it has been difficult for you to get your breath. But God says “The Dust is Settling” the constant dramas are ending; the dust is now under your feet and 2020 will a time when you can walk over and away from those constant drama’s. 2020 you will know and experience that greater is Christ that lives IN YOU than he that lives in the world. That Christ has overcome, so now you can walk free in the victory of Christ’s overcoming triumph. Christ victory and his resurrection power lives in you, in 2020 you can know and experience His power in your walk with God and in your daily life. Don’t look at the dust, don’t remember the dust instead trample the dust under your feet. Acknowledge the power of the Holy Spirit in all you say and do.  Do not look back to the past, walk into the future you have in Christ. “

2020 AND BEYOND - A TIME OF OVERFLOWING WINE

I had a picture and I saw an ornate silver chalice encrusted with many jewels and gems’, being poured into the chalice was a deep crimson wine. The wine kept flowing and flowing until it ran down the sides of the chalice and started to pour over the hand that was holding it and onto the floor. The wine was a ripple, it soon becomes a puddle and it became a river and its source was the crimson wine pouring into the chalice.

There is an overflowing of the Spirit coming in 2020 that will start with a filling up and with continue with a trickle but over time with develop into a stream. To many, many people this might seems as a delay, that something is not happening.  It will seem like ‘Getting to a train crossing and barriers have come down’. There might be times of delay, but the train is coming and suddenly. Unexpectedly, the answer and the solution will appear!

The Spirit is an overflowing Spirit; this overflow will affect every area and scenario of everyday life. It will overflow in health, happiness, contentment, acceptance, finances. God is pouring more and more wine, so the overflow of his vineyard of delight will touch and change everything we touch and have contact with. His desire is for the whole earth to be filled with the glory of God.

You are the vessels, the empty jar, which this overflowing wine is to flow through. God can do anything, nothing is impossible to God, but just as God chose Mary to bring forth Jesus, He has chosen you to carry him and overflow through you to the world and you will in 2020 and beyond have the choice to dive into the overflowing wine of the Holy Spirit or just to sip as much as you want..

Prophetic Dream - Challenges and Rain in 2020

In November I had a second vivid dream, this dream I shared at a prayer meeting in my local church on a Sunday evening. That night two other people gave words that both contained pictures of ‘God’s Rain’. Initially, I wasn’t going share this dream at that meeting, but prompted by the Holy Spirit I did, this is that dream : -

I dreamed I was standing on top of a building, at a party with some of my friends. The sky was blue with just a few clouds bubbling up.  As the party was progressing, I noticed a stream of smoke rising from an adjacent building, this smoke started out as a small trickle but started to grow blacker and started to spread. The Fire Brigade arrived and began to put out the fire, but to not avail. Nothing could stop the fire and the black smoke grew thicker and deeper.  The sky started to blacken with the smoke and the smoke turned the daylight into darkness. Slowly the smoke started to drift towards me and my friends. As this mass of darkness came closer, my heart was filled with dread and terror of the impending doom started to fill me. My friends started to scream, and, in the panic, they ran away and left me. After a while I was standing along, watching the cloud of black smoke, I stood there waiting to be engulfed in the darkness and terror of the black cloud. The black cloud now filled the sky and slowly it came over my head. I closed my eyes, and I expected the doom. I waited and then I felt drops of pure crystal water touch my face and trickle down my cheeks. The pure raindrops became more intense. I opened my eyes and the crystal rain filled the air and sky. The black doom was dispersing, and the crystal rain had taken its place. The rain poured down on me and drenched me. The rain filled me with joy and covered me in refreshing life. I looked around and I was the only person experiencing this rain, all my friends had run away.

I felt God say – "For some believers there will be unexpected challenges from the world in 2020 that will be unleashed from the world to cause dread and panic in believers.  For some believers there will be a distraction of circumstances and situations unleashed to take away your attention from God’s promises to focus on the things of the world. These unexpected  challenges will take the form of every type of distraction. God said, that the first report is not the last report. Don’t let dread and panic fill your heart. Stand Firm. For the rain is coming. You may see and feel dread, but this is not the truth, the truth is that you have been given the joy of Christ. Stand and experience the life of the Holy Spirit in you.  God is working IN YOU, to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. The World’s cloud is full of dread, but God’s promise is established in Christ. Christ will never leave you or forsake you.  You are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. The rain of God is more powerful and disperses the clouds of the world’s dread. God is faithful, he is working in you, listen to his voice and reject the world’s diagnosis. There may be bad reports, but the first report is Not the last report. God will not let you down, you are his beloved and you are a royal child and you are seated in heavenly places in Christ."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is my prayer that this word helps you, strengthens you and causes you to have greater hope for the future! I believe for some believers there will be greater challenges and situations that arise for believers, but our future is bright and full of Light! What is this light? Prophetic Dream - The Coming Glory in 2020

On the 8th September 2019 I had a vivid dream, that captivated my sleep in the early hours of the morning. This was the dream which I believe was an insight into the coming year of 2020   -

“ I saw the sky erupting in violent storms of molten glory. Clouds of molten masses filled the atmosphere and I stood and looked on as clouds of molten power moved overhead, exploding the sky, turning the sky into colours of amber, red, vermilion, blazes of scarlet, crimson, yellow . Great clouds of black smoke rose from the storms and covered the sun. Suddenly this storm of molten glory moved and started to disappear from me and it went north into the distance, erupting as it went. I stood and watched it and a voice said to me “This is my creation power, this is my glory released on the earth, exploding, erupting, changing the atmosphere. This is my creation power coming to earth.” Suddenly it started to rain, a torrential rain, so strong that I could not see the sun and in seconds I was drenched in the rain. As I looked through the driving rain, I saw a rainbow; the rainbow filled the sky, from the bottom to the top. The colours were bright, blindingly bright, so bright that they pierced my eyes and all I could see was colour. I closed my eyes and the colours were there, the rainbow was inside my eyes.”

I felt God say – “There is a wave of glory, coming and is already here unlike any wave of glory before. This will be creation glory. It will erupt, it will explode, it will change the atmosphere. It will change everything. It will be messy, it will disrupt, it will turn everything upside down, and everything that stands will fall. It will be indiscriminate, it does not care for protocol, status, gender, race, colour or rank, and this will wash away all that is held high and bring about a new day. The earth will be filled with the glory of the grace of God. The rainbow of God’s promise will fill the earth. This promise that the judgement of God has been taken on Christ and this is the day of the Lord’s favour. Everything will be covered in the vibrant grace of God. This is the day of blessing, miracles, new life. That God is declaring through the vibrant rainbow that he is not counting men’s sins against them and that he declares that peace has been given to mankind through the reconciliation of the cross.”

The erupting power of God’s creating glory comes to declare the finished work of the grace of Christ at the cross. The Glory is the declaration that today is the day of the Lord, the Day of Reconciliation, healing, new life and resurrection power.

Jesus Is The Solution.

Jesus's life was a demonstration of how things are done in heaven.
His life was a declaration of God's way of thinking.
His life was a language that was not spoken on the earth before.
His life was constantly vulnerable to the majesty of God.

Jesus was the promise and provision  to every problem on earth.
Jesus was the answer.
Jesus is the solution.
Jesus is the positive heart of God to mankind .
Jesus was the full manifestation of God's provision to the world.

He healed everyone who came to him.
He set free all those who came to him in captivity.
He opened blind eyes, opened deaf ears and he set free the tongue to speak and declare the goodness of God.
He provided food for thousands of people with two loaves of bread and five fishes.
He brought the dead back to life.
He refused to condemn those that the religious wanted to kill.
He showed us what it is to be dead to sin and alive to God.
He embraced the rejected.
He showed us that every problem was an opportunity for God to work in your life.

And today "As He is so are we in this world "
He rescued us so that we could live in victory.
He seated us in heavenly places in him, so we could bring heaven to earth.
He filled us with the resurrection power of God so we could bring the majesty of God to the world.
He made us complete in him so we could bring completeness to the earth.
He made us whole in him so we could release his wholeness to everyone.
He gave us the solution so we could be the solution.
For Christ in you is the demonstration of heaven now alive in the earth.

A Reconciled Cosmos

Creation is made in the heart of God. From the stars in the sky to the soil beneath our feet and from the air that we breathe to the blood in our veins, we are made in the image of God. Our existence is dependent upon the manifestation of God’s love, everything - from an whale to an amoeba  and from the vastness of the sky to a molecule - has been crafted,  planned and made to express the glory of God.  Where there is life there is the creator.  And where there is the creator there is Christ. All life is connected to Christ because all life originates from Christ.

It was this life that Christ came to redeem.  In everything Jesus did and every word he said was from the passion of his creation.  His miracles are a guarantee of a Redeemed Cosmos.  His miracles were a demonstration of God's love and favour. His death was the final judgement of human sin and with this one act at the cross he forever removed the curse of creation. His resurrection was the beginning of the transformation of the heavens and the earth.  The empty tomb declares that death and everything associated with death has been defeated and that we live in the New day of His victory.  We have a new name, a new life, a new conciousness,  a new covenant and a new identity in Christ.

For now in Christ the cosmos has been reconciled.  Everything that Christ did declared that heaven has now invaded earth. That in Christ God has taken up his home with man and has moved from heaven and now dwells within man.

And this is the declaration of Christ, that we are now the children of God and that as He is so now are we .

God Comes To Us

God comes to us as a sweet fragrance
He comes to us as a column of smoke
He comes to us as the morning dew
He comes to us to entice our senses
To ignite our desire
To penetrate our walls of self reliance
He comes to us as a consuming fire
To burn away the dross
To burn away our worldly perception
To burn away the dead wood of unbelief
To burn away the lies of self effort
His fragrance wafts into our senses to create a longing to be with him.
And it is His fragrance, Christ's fragrance in us that we give to everyone and everything thing we touch and connect with in every day life.

For In Christ we are the fragrance of heaven in a corrupted world.
We are the sweet perfume of the unconditional love of God to those that are crying, desperate and alone.
We are the fragrance of healing and restoration for those lost and without hope.
We are the fragrance of hope.
We are the fragrance of the unconditional love of God.
For Christ did not come into the world to condemn the world but to give us the very life of God in a New Creation of his love and life.

Create a Kaleidoscope of Colour in Life

If you can embrace the truth of your union with Christ, you will begin to see life from a completely new perspective.  It is challenging, but the reward is a total liberation into the grace of God.

Try this. Assume that God has forgiven every one of their sins? Suddenly you will start to look at people, things, and events differently. If you assume a positive message of reconciliation between God and man life little by little starts to well up into a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours and the black and white world begins to look very old hat.

We all need to see colour, a beautiful prism of how we are wonderfully and beautifully created. Are original state back in the Garden of Pleasure was the mirror image of a vibrant, creative, wonderful, joyous, energetic, delightful, hopeful,  excited God.  Colour is just us going back to our original state.

We are easily tainted by the deceitfulness of the world, but our true nature is to live in the fullness of God. So that in all we do an in all we show we experience the glory of our new creation. In effect our view of God and life creates the way we view everyone around us.

Every interaction is an opportunity for you to see the life of creation in others. Every interaction is a chance for you to believe that God has forgiven everyone their sins.  Knowing that God in Christ is not counting sins against us is the message of Gods favour that brings us into harmony with himself.

Look around are the people who you come in contact with, and see them as forgiven. When they do bad things, when they act badly towards you, remember they are forgiven. When you can’t understand why they are acting like they are towards you, just remember their sins are not being counted against them.

Assume the office of being a reconciler and begin to flourish in the freedom of forgiveness.

Everybody you come in touch with, those that cut you up on the motorway, those that push ahead of you in the queue, those that tell lies about you to make themselves popular, all have been forgiven at the cross, before they were born.

When we begin to view everyone as loved by God, forgiven by God, we start to see the awesome potential in each other’s lives and that potential begins inside us.

Six Questions to Get Your Emotions and Thoughts Closer with God.

God does not communicate with us the way we commonly know and understand ‘communication’. Now this may seem strange at first, but God is infinitely more intimate with us than any other relationship in our lives. In fact, what we think as a close relationship is actually still quite distant when compared to God. If you consider that in reality we don’t know the thoughts of the people we love the most and they don’t know our thoughts. We can hide feelings of love and anger from each other deep within our hearts.

But with God, this form of communication does not work, because the Holy Spirit is far more intimate with us and God.  When come into relationship with God we actually become entwined in God, His Spirit becomes our spirit. He communicates to from His Spirit. He speaks to us Spirit to our heart.

It takes time to cultivate a unique place in our hearts and therefore our minds. A place where the inner voice of God goes beyond verbal tones and comes on a frequency that runs through our spirit into our hearts. For this communication is the vast mystery of our divine new creation relationship with Christ.

So here in the mystery of God’s voice within us, how do we let God in and let his grace work in our hearts? How do we tune our hearts to his frequency? To begin with we need to open our hearts to his Spirit and here are a six questions we can ask ourselves to help us :-

1.      Do I let God reveal to me how right I am with him in Christ Jesus?

In other words, I am a New Creation in Christ Jesus.
Christ has given me his new life and I am alive to Christ and dead to sin.
In fact, Paul tells me in Ephesians 4:23 “that I am holy and righteous in Christ Jesus”.
To hear God’s voice effectively in my heart I need to let God reveal to me my New Creation reality and give him permission to change and renew my mind to come in alignment with the truth of the finished work of Christ.
The more I let God reveal Christ to me, the more I can know that “As He is so now am I.

2.       Do I give God an opportunity to be God?

Every moment is an opportunity for God to speak and connect with me.
Too often we so consumed with the influence of the world and the busyness of life we forget that the God who created the universe lives in us.
It is easily done, but it is easily rectified.
In every moment let go and let God be God to you.
Let you consciousness be full of Christ and free from the world.

3.       Do I give myself chances – or do I easily write myself off?

Every day is a new beginning; every moment is the first step forward.
God is totally committed to you and He has promised never to leave you or forsake you.
Thank him for his forgiveness and your eternal redemption
Thank you for his love and his new life inside your heart
Thank him that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.

4.       Do I give myself permission to drink as deeply from Christ as I desire?

Remind yourself that you no longer have to wait.
That you have an overflowing river of the Holy Spirit living in you.
You can dive in and be soaked by God’s presence and glory at any time
You have the bottomless well of God’s grace in your heart.
This seems almost too good to be true, so remind yourself to the truth of the resurrection power alive in you.
Give yourself permission to drink from the river of God’s life within you.

5.       Do I know His power alive in me, in the midst of daily life?

Life flows from your thoughts and comes out in your words
The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you.
Relax, connect and acknowledge God’s power alive in you.
Let your mind and emotions live in the fullness of Christ.
For God can do exceedingly, abundantly above all you could ask or think according to the power that works within you.

6.       Do I let my heart respond to His unconditional love working in me?

You are loved unconditionally by God, you are his beloved child.
It is time to love yourself.
God loves you, so love yourself in Christ.
You are amazing, beloved, precious, beautiful, captivating and the delight of Gods heart.
You are prize that Christ came and died for,
You are incredibly and wonderfully created to be loved by the infinite God
You are loved, love your self
For you are a son or daughter of God.

Let Christ sow his word seeds into your heart, so he can produce a harvest of his grace, healing and provision which you can reap in your life. As you relax and rest in his words for you, you will find that your confidence in Christ will grow, your trust in his commitment to you will be established in you, and your delight in your heart will start to overflow when you experience His delight in you. For the truth of who you are as a New Creation in Christ will motivate and capture your heart and emotions so that you can begin to know and experience the height, breadth, length and width of the love of God.

Your Heart is God's Garden

In Christ your heart is God's garden.
Your heart is a New Creation garden of His good soil.
God is bringing forth the blossoms that you could not produce.
He has planted the seed into the good soil of your heart.
And it will grow and produce good fruit.
For your heart is full of the unconditional love of God.
Your heart is full of the unfailing love of God
And the seed of God's grace has been buried deep into the good soil of your heart
You have been rooted into the kindness of God
You have been planted into the faithfulness of God
You have been hidden into the desire of God.
You have been deposited into the passion of God
And the Holy Spirit comes as the summer rain to water and nourish and nurture  the seed of Christ in your heart.
The living water of the Holy Spirit in you brings growth and transformation to every seed of grace planted in you.
The branches of your hope celebrate the goodness of God.
Every leaf that grows in you springs forth with fullness of joy in knowing and acknowledging Christ.
You are free.
Free to stretch forth and soak in the sun of heaven
Free to be who God created you to be
Free to let the gentleness of God radiate in your life.
For Christ moves in you
Christ lives in you
Christ sustains you
Christ is planted in you
And you are complete in Christ
God in Christ is always good to you
God in Christ is bringing forth the blossoms that you could not produce.

Keep Your Back straight and Your Arms even

This was the advice my physio gave to me after my year long sessions came to an end.
“Always make sure that when you stand, keep your back straight and your arms even.”
The simple act of keeping your back in correct alignment with your body.
The better that alignment of your body is the better you hold yourself.
Alignment with the correct posture is a physical must.
Alignment with the truth of who we are in Christ is a spiritual must.
For knowing the truth will set us free and alignment to that truth will encourage us to stand.
For knowing the truth is an awakening, coming alive to the work of redemption paid for us in Christ.
For living the truth is liberation.  Freedom is the gift of Christ to us, renewing our mind and thoughts with the truth.
For in our New Creation life we have God’s presence living inside us.
For in our New Creation life we have the power of the resurrection living inside us.
For in our New Creation life we have a river of living Holy Spirit water flowing inside us.
For in our New Creation life Christ now abides in us and we are complete in him.
For in our New Creation life Christ has made us his dwelling place
For in our New Creation life the glory of God lives in us.
For in our New Creation life we are sons and daughters of God.
For in our New Creation life Christ keeps our back straight and lifts us up to be seated with him heavenly places.

Amidst the Chaos God is Speaking

Amidst all the chaos of life we are given the opportunity for liberation. Each one of us has the perfection of this very moment. For now the Kingdom of Heaven has been birthed and planted into everyone that has become a New Creation in Christ. What our heart desires lies within us: and the fullness of Christ lies within our hearts.

The stark naked truth is that everyone in Christ has the manifestation and glory of God resident within them. This is the truth that can change the world and the realisation has the power to change the way we believe, think and act.

When you see Christ in every believer, all separation dissolves. For the life of Christ alive in us goes beyond gender, race, culture, class, wealth, job-title or any other label, all boundaries evaporate and you find your life in the ocean of God’s grace and liberation given to us in Christ.

Every moment is an opportunity to awaken and live in our true identity in Christ. The trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in sacred oneness in wholeness inside our heart and God is an adventure into His love poured out into every aspect of existence.

God is speaking to us in those everyday events that seem insignificant, those magical moments, those mundane seconds, those simple acts that make up each minute of every day.

You can strike up a conversation with God whenever you want, in the supermarket, in the car, on a park bench, waiting for a train, in the queue for a sandwich, busy, hectic, noisy, quiet or still it does not matter, makes no difference, God is there interested and wanting to talk, all you have to do is listen.

For God is not something you search for. God is the New Creation reality alive within us, when all separation between us and the Holy Spirit dissolves in the truth of the finished work of Christ.

In deep union with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, there is a holy marriage, which awakens our heart and senses to our restoration and wholeness in Christ. When we stop searching, seeking and fighting for a connection with God and live in the peace and freedom of Christ’s life alive within us, it will be increasing apparent that God is speaking us all and all of us can hear and receive the words of God.

Life

Jesus is Life…and that means there is no death in Him at all! He is exuberant, joyful, fulfilling, ever-blessing and ever-refreshing life..

His very life is our life, sustaining and carrying us along in Life. His Spirit of Life gave us our breath.

In Him is no death – this tells me He is never, ever destroying me, hurting me, tearing me down, crushing me, or sucking the joy or vigor from me – NO! He is always building me up, invigorating me, filling and fulfilling me!

Jesus said eternal life is knowing Him, and to be part of His very life, eternal and immutable, is to know Him with a depth of intimacy that I can’t even fathom.

Jesus is the fullness of pure love, without a bit of harshness,  He is refreshing and enlivening, never taking away from my quality of life but always making it infinitely better.

Jesus is life ... the living water of the Holy Spirit bubbling up and overflowing in my life.

Jesus is a deep well of constant reassurance and pure love and grace inside me.

Jesus is life, joy and freedom inside me.

Radiance

There is a radiance in the delight of God
that he is delighted with me
that he is delighted with Christ in me
that he has entered  time and space
that he has made my heart his home
my life is now his life
my resurrection happened the moment he entered my life and dwelt in me
that is my New Creation life
I am created new in Christ
not washed clean but created new
my hearts is new
my spirit is new
I now feel and know the Holy Spirit alive in me
and everything that says it is not so
has been taken away and destroyed
I am who God says I am
and the same radiance that lights up creation lives in me
never to be extinguished
but to shine in me throughout eternity
to transform me into the very image of God.

Reborn into Innocence

In Christ you were reborn into a time of innocence.

You were reborn into the goodness of God into a New Creation devoid of evil. For where there is the light of God darkness has to be extinguished. Light and darkness do not share the same space.

It is the revelation that you now in Christ, you are Holy and righteous in your Spirit and the former darkness that invaded your thinking, your desires and your actions has been eradicated by your new birth into the fulness of God.

Our past, our sin tainted nature died with Christ.

And just as the natural, nature with the abundance of yellow daffodils, Spring gives us a real picture as we see them take root and flourish in the rich phase of a new season, we now in the spirit receive the purity  and innocence of new life.

For within us even before we believed and were made new there was calling that believed in a place of joy, an existence of bliss. That we we created to be part of an eternal dance of love.

Today you have in Christ been reconciled back into the arms of your Father and the love your heart cried out has been placed into your new innocent heart.

When Did We Stop Listening?

There are voices all around us.
Talking
Shouting
Whispering
Trying to get our attention.
Telling us, informing us, calling us, advising us, speaking at us.
Principles
Laws
Steps
Giving us meaning, efficiency, substitutes and functions.
If we listen!
More the often we hear a series of problems that need to be solved or principles that need to mastered.
But the desire of Christ is not to engage our intellect but to ignite our hearts.
He whispers to us with His passion,
He captures us with His dreams
He heals us with His wounds,
He delivers us from our fears,
He wraps us in His beauty,
He reveals to us His mystery,
He touches us with his ecstasy,
He sings to us with His poetry,
He loves us with His everlasting delight.
If we listen
Christ is calling to us in every moment of life.
Inviting us into his life of beauty and intimacy.
Awakening us to His glory alive inside of us.
His voice is always speaking to us,
When did we stop listening?

Jesus is the mediator of a new covenant

Jesus is the mediator of a new covenant between God and man by being both parties in the covenant at the same time, joining us together in such a deep way in human flesh and cementing our union forever in His body! In Christ, we meet and join hands with Christ in intimate relationship!
God is saying to us through Jesus, “I’m here with you, always have been and always will be. I am not going anywhere. I am never getting out of this relationship. I am never pushing you away or rejecting you. For I have tied us together forever and there is nothing you could say, think, do or even believe that will break this union we have! I will never leave you or let you go! I will be here for you through thick and thin. You can’t shake me! You can’t get rid of Me! I am in this relationship for keeps, and I will hold you close to My heart forever!”

Tied To God

Jesus came and tied us to God permanently. Jesus is God and He is man. He is God and man in one body! Jesus shows us what we humans are, that we were created to be in union with God, we were made God compatible – not separate from God but made of Him and existing in Him and even indwelt by and in union with Him! He shows us we aren’t hopelessly alienated from God – that is only in our minds, heaped upon us as we try to live under religion’s demands and perspective.

In Christ we are actually one with God and He with us! Union with God isn’t an unattainable goal but the starting point of our journey from which we launch out into real life and the pleasure of enjoying friendship with our Father!

Our reference turns out, not to be Adam (who felt he was ‘just flesh and dust’, which left him feeling separate from God), but to be Christ (who knew He was in the Father and the Father was in Him)!

Finding out that this is our reference helps us realize that we can actually in Christ have a real relationship with our Father and not feel like pulling back in shame or in fear of what He might do to us. For Jesus comes and gives us a different and true picture of the real God! That God is for us and will never leave us, no matter what we do! This God is so committed to relationship with us that He took on our human flesh form, permanently tying Himself to our humanity.

Our Story

Too often in life we start at the beginning and work our way to the end.
Like a bestselling novel we start with the rags, work our way through the storms and heartbreak before we reach the final happily ever after.
And more often than not we identify with the storms and heartbreak of the present  because that is the centre of our story.
But this amazingly is not reality.
For the reality of the universe and history is Jesus Christ.
And the declaration of Jesus is "IT IS FINISHED. "
So the story of our life is now the story of our life in Christ.
Our story now starts with the finished work of Christ.
Our story starts at the end and works it's way back to the present.
Our story starts from the victory of the resurrection.
Our story starts from the finish line and the gold medal placed around our neck
Our story starts from the New Creation.
And the Holy Spirit works in and through us to declare and show us that we now live in the truth of the New Creation.
We now look back to the cross and now live in the truth of the resurrection .
We don't look forward to the resurrection we live in the day of the resurrection.
Christ is our finished line.
And we are complete in him. .
Jesus Christ is our past, present and future.
We are now alive to Him.
And all the promises of God are YES and AMEN in Christ.

Complete

One of the most amazing revelations of the Bible is that God accepts you.
God accepts you because Christ's finished work at the cross was complete.
His finished work means that today in Christ you have
Complete victory
Complete freedom
Complete restoration
Complete wholeness
Complete release
Complete life
Complete restoration
Complete peace
And you have been filled with complete faith.
And you are accepted in the grace and goodness of God
And you are the realisation of what the goodness and love of God is.
You are the worship of God's heart
You are the fulfilment of God's dreams
You are the delight of God's desire.
And the best thing you could ever do is receive and delight in God's love for you.
For as you love yourself God is glorified.
As you love yourself God is worshiped.
For loving yourself in Christ is manifesting what God is like.
For in Christ you are the evidence of the love and goodness of God.

Opportunities

Every day we have hundreds of opportunities to engage with the negativity that surrounds us.
In a world full of diagnosis and treatment
We engage the destructive by nullifying it's pain.
More often than not we think in terms of managing and limiting the onslaught of bad news.
But engaging the negativity does not get rid of it,
Instead it is defeated by the positive.
And the positive is rooted in the truth.
For it is knowing the truth that sets us free.
It is a change of perspective
A change of view
A transfer from darkness into light.
A growing awareness of the Holy Spirit inside us, teaching us to realising the New Creation life that now lives inside of us.
The starting point for every situation and circumstance should be Christ.
For in Christ we have arrived and are seated  with Christ in heavenly places.
Christ is the answer.
So let us start with the answer before we are consumed with the questions.

Waiting

Life is full of times of waiting.
Buses
Doctors
Trains
Kettle's boiling
Microwave pinging
An email in your inbox
Waiting for an answer
Waiting for a connection
Waiting for the word that will change everything.
Waiting for a yes or for a no.
And God is waiting for us.
Not to run to him because He has already arrived inside us.
Not to call out to him because He inhabits our thoughts.
Not to strive because He is our rest.
He waits for us to realise the treasure we have inside.
He waits for us to live in the connection we have with him.
He waits for us to respond to his whisper.
He waits for us to live from the Spirit within and not the feelings that dominate our thoughts
For the Spirit within our hearts is our compass, our peace, our constant connection with heaven.
It's heaven within our hearts.

Fences

We are surrounded by fences
Fences we build to keep the unwanted out.
Fences to protect our possessions.
Fences to keep, to hold.
But fences keep the glory of God out.
Fences keep the presence of God hidden.
Jesus broke down those fences we built.
In Christ there are no fences.
In Christ there is no need to hide.
For Christ took our shame and gave us his innocence.
Christ took our fear and gave us his love.
Christ took our condemnation and gave us his freedom.
Christ took our captivity and gave us his liberty.
Christ took our guilt and gave us his righteousness.
For his life is freedom from the captivity of the fences we built.
His life in us is the glory of God without limits.

Unique

You are not wrong to be unique.
There is something in most of us that makes us think that being different is somehow incorrect.
We are often encouraged to hide our uniqueness and suppress what is special.
But we are specially designed for life.
Specially designed to live in life-giving conciousness.
No matter how many preaches and sermons you hear and no matter how many scriptures you read, until the life-giving Spirit breaths on you, you will not truly believe.
For the Spirit changes earth into heaven.
The Spirit brings resurrection life into our heart.
The Spirit declares to us that we are now co-seated with Christ.
The Spirit gives life to our bodies.
When Jesus breathes his life into our hearts, He fills our specially designed uniqueness to come out from the darkness and be filled with light .
His life tells us that in Christ we are one with him.
The life of Christ united with our uniqueness.

Grace Whispers - IV

You are a child of your Father's love and you are beautiful, a captivating image of your father's love and everytime He looks at you it reminds him of the consuming passionate love that created you.

Grace Whispers -lll

Your worth, your value, and your significance is not riding on who you are or what you do or what other people think of you.

It is riding exclusively on what Jesus has already done for you.

Grace Whispers - ll

For God's love doesn't depend upon you, isn't conditional to your response, it is founded and shown in the sacrifice of Christ who loved and died for you when you had turned your back on him.

Grace Whispers - l

For goodness is found in the depths of experiencing the love of God. And out of this experience all acts of love flow in response to the glory that resides inside.

Valued and Loved By God

Key Scripture – “Yet what honour you have given to men, created only a little lower than God, crowned like kings and queens with glory and magnificence. “- Psalm 8:5
Key Thought – “The transformation of our hearts and lives into a new life in God is rooted in the question, “How does my creator value me?”.”
The moment of our very first breath in this fragile world our earthly drama starts. So consuming is this amazing masterpiece called ‘My Life’ that we are quickly drawn into every action, every thought, every sense and in the maelstrom of every moment we quickly lose all sense of the innocence and wonder that was planted into our hearts. It is not long before we come to the place where the world around us takes over us and we lose the value of who we were created to be.
It is here far away from the truth of the value of our creation that we search for a place of security. And so we hide in the fortress of our own achievements, the value of our existence is summed up by how we measure our success, how much power we hold, how happy we feel inside. And if this value of our lives wasn’t complete we look around and compare ourselves to others, we weigh up our weaknesses, we equate our failures and we try to reason out why we are unhappy. Owning ourselves and equating it to the world gives us value that we can compare to everything around us.
And if this valuation of us is not to our liking, we can start all over again and create a new definition of ourselves. It is here in this valuation of ourselves that we make a fundamental error, when we value ourselves by what have, do, think or feel. In other words, we have valued our existence rooted in the earthy reality of all we see, feel, hear, touch and smell.
The transformation of our hearts and lives into a new life in God is rooted in the question, “How does my creator value me?” This question has the power to make us redefine our perspective of life and propel us to open up and walk through the open door of value and into the chamber of God’s desire to love us and delight in knowing him an intimacy beyond our wildest imagination.  And in doing this we align ourselves to His image of us, to His thoughts about us and to His imprint becoming the valuation of our lives.
The realisation of all He has created us to be, brings with it the freedom to be ourselves and live with confidence that we are valued and loved with God’s everlasting love.

A Divine Nature

Key Scripture – “We also rejoice and exulting glory in God in his love and perfection through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we have now received and enjoy our reconciliation” – Romans 5:11
Key Thought – “I have become a partaker of the divine nature.”
I am constantly perplexed by how hard it is for my heart to embrace what my mind affirms. The more I read, the more I listen, the more I see, everything that filters into my head, I find it easier to acknowledge and agree with ideas and thoughts but most of this usually is fodder for my mind.
The essence of who God is, if you like his glory and nature and all he has brought me into by his grace, has been birthed deep inside my innermost being. My heart is a garden of new creation soil, where the seed of Jesus Christ has been planted and watered by the Holy Spirit. Through his glory and goodness, he has given me all his precious and great promises. His words to me are a treasure map that contains his plans and dreams for my life, and I know that every word he has provided he will always be faithful to, it is always true and that he is committed to it.
For it is one thing to agree with the finished work of Christ but it is something altogether different to experience its power and reality in the everyday crisis of life.
So how does this finished work of Christ become reality in my life?
The starting point for me was the realisation that I have become a partaker of the divine nature.  That every promise of God had its fulfilment in Christ. That the ground of my heart was the fulfilled sacrifice of Christ and that everything pertaining to Christ had been planted into me.  The Holy Spirit alive me had cultivated a Garden of Delight within my heart and he was quietly, actively, effortlessly bringing my heart into blossom and ripening his fruit.
  • I now have a divine nature, and my old sinful nature died in Christ at the cross.
  • I had been made righteous and good,
  • I have God’s desires inside me,
  • I experience God’s delight within me,
  • I have a fountain of life bubbling up through me.
  • I had been set free from the slavery of the world,
  • I had been delivered form the corruption, decay and death that I inherited through my natural birth,
  • I am made eternal clean, holy and blessed through my spiritual birth into Christ.
I have been brought into the fullness of Christ and his abundant grace has set me free to live in intimate communion with the lover of my heart.

Christ in you is Eternal Life

Key Scripture – “I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.” – John 16 : 23-24
Key Thought – “Eternal life is the impartation of all the son is, not just living forever but joy, holiness, peace, hope, love, faith, strength, freedom, authority, kindness, wholeness, security, long-suffering, faithfulness, goodness, righteousness, purity, everything that is of Christ is now made in me.”
When you dig down into the very foundations of God, you will discover in the depths of his eternal character that God really is a good gift giver.
He gives gifts with no strings attached. Regardless of our performance, our actions, our works, our effort, no matter how disconnected we feel, he even doesn’t require us to do anything after we get them either, like improve or pray more or sacrifice all our plans and desires and commit ourselves to his cause or do good things to show how thankful we really are. His gifts are given free.
The most awesome gift that we have been given is eternal life.
This eternal life is ours in his son.  When we receive the son, we automatically have eternal life, and this life is made manifest inside of us, as the very life of Christ comes and dwells within us. This life is Christ’s life in all its fullness.
God who was before time, immeasurable and infinite the source of all life, the everlasting creator, the fountain of eternal life was glorified in the resurrected Christ and because God’s life is eternal, receiving the son is receiving eternal life.
The essence of God’s eternal life knows Christ. Our fragile, dust frames have become the home of the vast, glorious God. We have been made alive by the Holy Spirit and our finite frame is now immersed into the infinite God.
This gift of eternal life is the impartation of all the son is, not just living forever but joy, holiness, peace, hope, love, faith, strength, freedom, authority, kindness, wholeness, security, long-suffering, faithfulness, goodness, righteousness, purity, everything that is of Christ is now made in me.
How do i receive this free gift by simply seeing what is true and saying thank you.  Thanking God for all he has done for me makes it come alive in my experience and makes me come alive to God’s reality.
God’s grace is the realisation that everything is a gift from Christ, given because he loves me, because he is a good giver and he takes pleasure and delight in overwhelming his people with every good gift from his heart of love.

The Price Was Paid in Full

Key Scripture – “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” – Ephesians 2:10
Key Thought – “A radical change has taken place in you, Christ took your place and died as you, you are a new creation in Christ”
All of us, at some level, have a deep emotional need to be loved and to give love, and all of us, at different levels, have a desire to be accepted. But somehow the conflicts, suspicions, hurts of life invade our desires and our view on each other’s kindness, goodness and motives slowly becomes tainted.  Out of these dust and ashes of suspicion it becomes increasingly difficult to focus on something done for our good.
Mercy is a prism of God’s grace. For God so abundant in love is so rich in mercy, so overwhelmed with his kindness towards us, reached out to a world lost in sin and self-righteousness and poured himself upon us and in love withheld the punishment that our rebellion deserved.
We had fallen into the pig sty of life, we had chosen to eat in the slop and degradation of our self- effort and intelligence, and we had taken all the provision and beauty of heaven and squandered it on our own self pleasure. Cold, alienated, lost and alone in His mercy God reached out to us to embrace us, to cherish us and with his lavish goodness gave us a place of honour at his banqueting table, an inheritance provided for his own and a seat at his right hand in glory.
Christ paid in full for all our self-effort and self-justification. At the cross he eternally dealt with the sin that stains our hearts, once and forever all sin – past, present and future sins were forgiven in one ultimate, atoning act of sacrifice. The price was paid in full, so that it would never have to be repeated again.
We are free to walk in the righteousness of Christ because his righteousness has become our righteousness.  We are free to walk in the holiness of God because his holiness has become our holiness; we are free to walk in the faith of Christ because his faith has become our faith.
A radical change has taken place in you, Christ took your place and died as you, you are a new creation in Christ, you are seated in authority beside God, and you are showered with God’s kindness because you have entered into an eternal love relationship with God in Christ. And He overflows out of your life into good, loving, kind, generous acts that God initiates from the well of your heart.

Let Delight Fill Your Heart

Key Scripture – “Delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:4
Key Thought  – “Jesus’ delight in us is now our delight in him. “
In recognising what God has done for us we must accept that other people are more likely to pursue God out of a sense of approval rather than a delight in him. Therefore, the great challenge is help people discover the infinite desire of God’s love and live from the heart of delight God has birthed in us. David, famously declared this in Psalms: –
“Delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:4
God designed and created you for beauty. He redeemed you for beauty.  You were the delight of his heart, the raging fire of his desire and the eternal joy that ravished his plans. He designed the universe for your benefit, so you could marvel at his vastness, desire his goodness, be captivated by his kindness and bask in his beauty.
Jesus Christ was the glory of God revealed to mankind. He was the delight of God’s desire. Everything that was in God was found in Christ and Christ is the first born of every believer. We have been united into the fullness of Christ; his life is now the life that is alive in our veins.
And just as Jesus was the delight of God, we are now the delight of the Father. You now are covered in beauty eternal, cemented in love, clothed in the glory of God, intertwined with him in union down in the innermost depths of your heart; you exist in love, for love has made its kingdom in your heart.
For the servant came to free us from the lies of the enemy that enslaved, confused and trapped mankind. The lies that took away our value, degraded our beauty and trapped us into a prison of shame. He came to demonstrate the goodness of God, to act in the mercy of God and to touch us with the compassion of God.
The promise of God’s delight is the overflowing grace of God demonstrated to us, that while we were lost he entered our world and revealed the love of God to us in Jesus.
I am going to revisit the story in the Bible of Jesus visiting the home of a man he had raised from the dead and spend a few moments viewing it from a different perspective.
Six days before the Passover celebration began, Jesus arrived in Bethany, the home of Lazarus—the man he had raised from the dead. A dinner was prepared in Jesus’ honour. Martha served, and Lazarus was among those who ate with him. 3 Then Mary took a twelve-ounce jar of expensive perfume made from essence of nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet with it, wiping his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance. But Judas Iscariot, the disciple who would soon betray him, said, “That perfume was worth a year’s wages. It should have been sold and the money given to the poor.”  Not that he cared for the poor—he was a thief, and since he was in charge of the disciples’ money, he often stole some for himself. Jesus replied, “Leave her alone. She did this in preparation for my burial. You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me.” – John 12:1-8 (NLT)
Here Mary in an act of selflessness took her most treasured and expensive perfume and poured it over the feet of Jesus.  And then with her hair wiped his feet clean.  The aroma of the perfume filled the house with a fragrance of gratitude and love.
One of the men in the room immediately objected to this extravagant display and speaking his mind he forcefully let everyone know of his displeasure with the act.  But knowing the motives of his heart, Jesus instructed that the infinite worth of love is far more precious that the measurable value of earthly possessions.
For God is boundless in his love to us.  Mary although she probably did not know it, demonstrated in this selfless act the true heart of God. A God that stoops down and loves his creation. An act of unlimited wealth as she poured out her most treasured possession. An act of self-sacrifice that transcended logic, convention, dignity and worldly values.
For God desires us to break free of the patterns of the world and embrace his abundant life.
This simple act of devotion had eternal consequences for bound in the broken alabaster flask was the sweet aroma of heaven and in the same way Noah offered up his sacrifice of thanking for his deliverance from the ark, Jesus offered himself up at the cross to be our pleasing sacrifice to God.
Paul captured the essence of this life of thanksgiving when he wrote to the Ephesians :-
“Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.” – Ephesians 5:2
Jesus was the fragrance offered to God, the sweet perfume of heaven, the infinite delight of God’s heart. His sacrifice was the final sacrifice, with his one act at the cross all sacrifices were wrapped up in his death. His offering was the perfect fragrance that satisfied and pleased for all time the desire of the Father.
And with the Father’s satisfaction comes the Father’s delight. Because God is satisfied with Christ, He is delighted with his finished work and we are now united in Christ in the delight of the father. God is eternally pleased with us because he is eternally pleased with Christ. The overflow of our heart is the delight God has in his son.
When God looks at Christ he sees him as perfect, holy, righteous, glorious, magnificent, conquering, and victorious, and that is exactly how God views you in Christ.
The fragrance of your heart is the presence of Christ and his delight in you is the aroma that captivates your soul.  It is the delight of God that embraces our senses and enraptures the father with our lives; –
“Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God.  This fragrance is perceived by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing.” – 2 Corinthians 2:15
For Jesus’ delight in us is now our delight in him.
The more we dive in to the delight of God we realise our delight in loving him. For the essence of our relationship with God is a heart of delight in his goodness and grace. To live each moment with a heart bursting with love and a tangible affection that is satisfied with his love. The sacrifice of Christ is the satisfaction of our hearts, it accomplished all the purposes of the Father, it fulfilled all God’s plans and it restored our hearts into the intimacy that we had always wanted.
Delighting in God is the root that reaches into the desire of God and draws from the streams of God’s righteousness. Our heart’s hunger to experience the intimate love of our Father. We long to be connected into an oasis of righteousness.
And what does this hunger and thirst for righteousness look like? It means a vibrant, unhindered, perfect fellowship and union with God. A heart that is no longer guilty, condemned, feeling shameful or tormented with doubt, but is secure in God’s love, is peaceful and is in harmony with the presence of God.
For when delight fills our hearts we realise our perfect union with him and God’s presence seeps through our emotions

The Magnitude of God's Goodness

Key Scripture – “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—  to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3 : 17-19)
Key Thought  – it is one thing to hear a promise but it is another thing completely transforming when we experience the promise.”
The magnitude of God’s goodness is something that God desperately tried to make his children understand.  His interaction with us was always to demonstrate to us the importance of connecting with him in body, soul and spirit.  This is evident in dramatic intervention in the life of Abraham.  In Genesis God had promised Abraham the land of Canaan for his home. Abraham gave Lot his nephew a choice of this land and Lot chose the best land, or more precisely, the land that was more pleasing to his eyes.  Abraham was left with remainder of the land and God then told Abraham to do something quite extraordinary:
“And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward;  for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered.  Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.” – Genesis 3:14 – 17 (NKJV)
At first it is easy to over look over the importance of these verses, but within this passage is one of the keys to understanding Abraham’s confidence in God’s word to him.  For God knew that if Abraham experienced the promise it would fully persuade his mind and his heart that he would keep his word.
The advice to “Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width” is unlocking the door of faith into a heart centred trust in all God has promised. Because it is one thing to hear a promise but it is another thing completely transforming when we experience the promise.
Abraham needed to cement the promise of God into his heart and so with every step he took little by little the promise became reality. He was able to feel the soil beneath his feet, he could smell the sweet aroma of the flowers, touch the rich grass, run each grain of sand through his fingers. He could pick, eat and taste the ripe fruit hanging from the trees; he could see the rich abundance of the land and look from mountain tops and marvel at God’s goodness.  With each step his soul would have been captivated and assured that God was faithful and completely trustworthy.
To put it this way, the experience was so powerful to Abraham that when he shut his eyes he could recall and picture the wonder and beauty of the Promised Land. How did he know the fruit of the land was good? Is it because he was told it? Partly, but it was because he ate it, he could close his eyes and imagine its sweet taste.
In real life it is important to mix our response to God’s promises with the realisation in our lives of all he has given us.  Paul in his letter to the church at Ephesus understood this, and his prayer was a heartfelt conviction that every believer need to know and experience the love of God.
“that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—  to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3  : 17-19)
In these remarkable lines, we hear the desire of God; we start to understand the purpose of creation, that we would be able to comprehend the width, length, depth and height of the love of God. That our experience of the love of God would mirror Abraham’s experience of the Promised Land and that we like him would know in our hearts the cosmic transforming love of the father.
The realisation of God’s love is the acknowledgement in our hearts of God’s commitment to us and our loving response to his embrace.
