The Lord our God is one lord.
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our
likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the
birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over
every creeping thing that creeps on the earth” – Genesis 1:26
In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was
baptized by John in the Jordan .
And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens
being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came
from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.” - Mark 1:9-11
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the
government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful
Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. – Isaiah 9:6
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made
through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of
men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. –
John 1:1-4.
This is he who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not by
the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who
testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the
Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree. If we receive the
testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of
God that he has borne concerning his Son. – 1 John 5:6-9
Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He
was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels,
proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory. - 1 Timothy 3:16
But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and
ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom". – Hebrews 1:8
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now
I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known – 1
Corinthians 13:12
